This summer I’m catching up on all the books I wanted to read all semester long but just didn’t have the time too :)

As a class assignment we had to create symbols that represent crimes in the environment. I choose to focus on the problems of littering along beaches and in oceans and how it effects the critters of the sea. By replacing their shells with garbage I am showing how these creatures have to adapt to the environment we have forced them to live in.
Bamboozle ups and downs
In exactly one week I’ll be almost done with school (hopefully stress free at this point because most of my classes will be over) and I will be enjoying a fun filled weekend in Asbury Park for The Bamboozle Festival. I can’t wait to enjoy the weather and beach, listen to great live music, and have a blast with my friends! I’m a little worried about missing the band I want to see on friday because I still have to go to class, but hopefully I can scoot out as quick as possible to grab the earliest train to Asbury Park. Amour For Sleep will be playing a farewell show so if I miss it I will be devastated.
I’m also extremely sad about Blink 182’s drop from the line-up. They were 90 percent of the reason I was going this year. What makes it worse is tickets are almost double the price then previous years because of the new location and extra stuff they have planned, and there are very few bands I really want to see. But I understand that they had legitimate reasons for dropping, health comes first and if the truly could go on they would. My Chemical Romance will fill in for them and although I’m not a huge fan of them, I’m still a fan and will be great full to see them. I’ll make the best of it and I know it will be a great end to this stressful school year and a great start to the summer! :)

I love these lyric/typographic videos, I’ve been seeing more and more artist doing it and I think It’s great! :)

For my packaging design class we had to create a safety kit of some sort. My kit was designed to aid in relaxation and restoring a persons mental health during stressful situations. This product can potentially be used for any person who is feeling stressed but it is also a necessity for people living with extreme stressful situations, such as a natural disaster or dealing with a severe health issue. The three products I used in this kit are tea, stress ball and a massage tool.
Here is a project I spent half of the semester working on in my corporate identity class. It’s a non-existant, high-end hair salon that also has it’s own brand of hair care products. Through the course of the project I had to come up with a company name (Roots) and the logo, I also had to create a brochure (not pictured) and two other applications of my choice. I chose to do a mock-up website and product and packaging shots.
Trying to get as much work as I can get done tonight. I haven’t done any work all week and if I don’t start now I’ll be a mess come Monday :/
Here is a three piece, concept ad campaign for travelocity that I just finished up.
Come back to my dorm after class to find out that the room next to ours was on fire. Apparently they left a blow dry plugged in and it blow up while they were gone. Their bathroom is covered in soot and it still smells bad in the hallway and in our bathroom and kitchen. What a great way to start of spring break, eh? ..at least no one was hurt.
